Create a Style of Your Own
On Pinterest, I’ve seen a lot of pictures of these cute little fashionistas lately. Who doesn’t love seeing these adorable munchkins?
The more I see these pictures, the more it makes me think of how I’m going to dress my children. I’m not going to lie; I would love to dress my kids in stylish clothes and have people tell me how cute my kid is, who wouldn’t?!...
The five stages of running
An hour before running: I don't wanna run today.
5 minutes before running: I'm pumped! Let's do this!
While running: Can't breathe... Must keep going... Run to the rhythm of my music... Don't die...
5 minutes after running: Everything's awesome! I love running! I could run for the rest of my life!
An hour after running: I. Am going. To die.
There’s something about sitting in a coffee shop that screams, “productivity.”
There’s something about sitting at my desk that screams, “play tetris.”

I grew up in the town of Gilbert, Arizona, and until a few years ago, it seemed like a boring old town because there wasn’t much to do there. However, it has been rapidly developing and growing in the last few years. Though it is considered one of the fastest growing communities in the nation, this town really values the small town atmosphere. Gilbert has kept up the small town...
The Growing Begins!
Hi friends!
The wedding has passed and it was a blast! hehe.. gotta love the rhyme! :]
Just to remind you all, Brenton and I are officially growing out our hair for the next SIX MONTHS! Our sister, Lexi, will also be joining us, as well as our friend Natasha.
For details, refer back Share Your Hair!
Remember, our goal is to get 6 to 10 ponytails so that a full hair piece can be made with...

Friendship, The Real Deal
Sometimes I wonder why God has kept me where I am today, especially when my closest friends have moved away.
Today, He reminded me that even though my friends could be hundreds of miles away, this invention called the internet (or the telephone) can bring us closer together (even my close friends). :] I’ve spent time talking to people over various types of communication the last couple...

Share Your Hair!
Hi all!
My brother, Brenton, and I would like to invite anybody and everybody to grow your hair out with us!
Why, you might ask?
Over the summer, I really wanted to put together a huge event where people came to donate their hair to a cause. I told Brenton about it, and he was quickly on board! However, we soon realized that this would take a lot of planning, support, and effort that we...

On prayers that remind him [Jeff Iorg] of Jesus’ Lordship:
“Another important prayer is ‘Lord, I serve at Your pleasure. Use me, or not, whatever pleases You.’ This prayer emerged from observing military leaders. They impress me with their obedience to orders. They understand they do not deserve any special assignment and are willing to serve without recognition. They...

A lovely kick-off to summer :]
For just under two weeks, I had the privilege of hosting two lovely ladies from Toronto. We met three years ago on a mission trip to Klagetoh and since we’ve met, we’ve only spent a total of about 4 weeks together. However, that doesn’t hinder our relationship one bit!
Last Monday, Agnes Lin and Katy Shum flew in from Toronto and the moment I saw them outside of security...

Woman from light rail: Are you from Japan?
Me: Me? No.
Woman: Oh. Where are you from?
Me: I’m Chinese.
Woman: Oh… Cute.
Bring it?
I know it’s my own dang fault for not studying sooner for my four exams that I’ll be tackling tomorrow, but I’d also like to place some blame on my four professors that decided to have their midterms on the Thursday before Spring Break.
After tomorrow, I’m on Spring Break. So close yet so far.
I’d like to say that my midterms can “bring it,” but...

More Tales From the Rail
I just witnessed my first hobo fight.
I think one stabbed the other with a pencil.
Gotta love the light rail.
I don’t need to know chemistry to be a nurse!

I love ASU...
Today I decided to take the stairs to go to lab. I walked up the stairs, tried to pull the door open, and realized that it was locked. There was no way for me to get to the other side of that door. I then walked back downstairs, walked to the elevators, and rode up to the third floor.

I just got onto the light rail and sat down in an open seat. A person two seats away from my seat, who had just sat down before me, got up and moved just as soon as I sat down.
Do I smell?
Is it National “Cough Without Covering Your Mouth Especially In Front of Larissa’s Face” Day? Cause man, people are coughing in my face like it’s their job.

Grades for Semester 1
I got an A-. I’m kind of super bummed right now. I know that some of you are probably thinking, “get over it, it’s just a grade,” but man, I was really hoping to get that 4.0… But I guess it’s ok. I did my best. And a 3.9 isn’t low at all… haha. I’m just thankful that God got me through my first semester.
Let’s forget about...
falalaaa
I thank God for the FCBC choir. I had a blast caroling with them tonight! I know that it was all planned last minute and amidst finals, and it wasn’t the best that it could be, but I still had soo much fun, and I know we touched the lives of the people that we caroled to.
We may have had to switch around plans, but I’d say caroling was a success. :]
Goodnight, world. I can...
Helloooo Winter Break!
I’m done for the semester! I can’t believe my first semester of college is over! I remember freaking out and telling people, “What if I’m one of those people that isn’t fit for college?!” And I worried that I would hate it!
But I definitely love it! :]
College is definitely a LOT easier than I had anticipated. Now, I’m just waiting to see if...
My dreams came true...
But not how you would imagine.
Last night, I dreamt that the light rail I was on crashed and I couldn’t get to class in time for my final.
Just now, someone decided to drive on the light rail tracks, and I’m stuck here for who knows how long.
I have a final at 10:30.
Pray for me!
Do I look... Mexican?!
As of lately, there have been a lot, I repeat, A LOT, of people that I only assume to be Mexican that walk up to me and say,
“Hola, Mija!”
to the light rail from my car, to campus from the light rail, and to the light rail from campus… Men AND women. You may be thinking, “Oh, maybe they’re just being nice.” Yes, this may be true, but this woman said it to...

I love these devotions. I read them everyday.
It’s really easy for us to go through the motions of being a Christian without putting heart into it, and without making it all about God. I love this quote from Midori, “It’s not really the hours, but the quality of the work that needs to be done. I see with students, that they play and they call it practice, but they are not listening...
The broken seat
I’m sitting at the light rail stop, waiting for the next train to come. The bench of seats I am sitting at has a broken seat. There are three seats. I’m sitting on the far left seat, there is a perfectly non-broken seat next to me, and the broken seat all the way to the right.
This man just walked up to sit and wait for the next train as well, or so I assume, and guess where he...

On second thought, I think this man is drunk…
It smells kinda funny...
It’s 9 o’clock in the morning, I’m sitting on a fairly empty light rail, and out of nowhere it starts smelling weird…
The dude that just got on is definitely drinking a Budweiser.
Happy Friday everybody!
Sometimes you just have to accept that things have changed and they’re not going to be the same as they used to be.
